Bitoric Lenses

Blue Bitoric2
For patients who have both corneal and residual astigmatism, we would recommend the use of a Bitoric lens.
We would advise that you start with an appropriate range of Back Surface toric trial lenses, to evaluate fit of BCOR.
Once this has been achieved, take note of the degree that the black mark on the lens was, when located on the eye and the BVP over correction that will be need.
We will be able to calculate for you the BVP needed in the final Bitoric lens.
We have available for diagnostic purposes a large collection of individually made trial lenses, a range of both Back Surface Toric and Bitoric design lenses that one or many trial lenses can be loaned for evaluation at no charge.

Front Surface Toric Lenses

If you have a patient that wears spherical lenses, but has a residual astigmatism, we can help correct this for you with a Front Surface Toric Lens.
We have a number of already made Front Surface Toric lenses in our trial lenses collection, which can be loaned for diagnostic purposes free of charge.
If you can not find a lens that is suitable, we will make a free trial lens to the parameters you require.
All lower minus and plus lenses are usually made with 1 1/4 prism ballast, higher minus lenses may require 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 prism ballast.

Back Surface Toric Lenses

For those patients that require a full Toric Back surface lens, we can help with obtaining the correct fitting lens.
If for example you have a client with K readings approximately 7.65 and 7.15 we would advise trying a lens with BCOR 7.60/7.20 as this gives a slight clearance on either meridian to allow proper tear flow. Fitting directly on K readings would give too tight a fit.
We have a number of already made Back Surface Toric trial lens in our trial lenses collection, which can be loaned for diagnostic purposes free of charge.
If you can not find a lens that is suitable, we will make a free trial lens to the parameters you require.
Back Surface Toric lenses can be made in any design from std, keratoconic, quad curve or any flatter or steeper secondary curve design you may prefer.
